After releasing our front bumper for the Traxxas Slash, we immediately started receiving customer requests for an RPM rear bumper. In typical RPM fashion, we don’t just make replacement parts; we make the best replacement parts possible! What sets the RPM rear bumper above all else? We started with our incredibly durable materials and created a bumper that is based off of current full-sized Short Course and Baja style rear bumpers. Full-sized rear bumpers are wide and flat and our scale version is exactly that, for the ultimate in rear-end protection. RPM rear bumpers will stop most rear impacts from affecting the truck in any negative way.

Additionally, RPM rear bumpers for the Traxxas Slash weigh in at a full 9 grams (18%) lighter than the stock version! Lighter is always faster.

What more could we do to make these things incredibly realistic? How about mounting points for mud flaps? That’s right; these bumpers come stock with mounting positions for RPM Mud Flaps (#81012 – available separately). Now the Slash owner can run mud flaps for ultra-realistic good looks.

RPM rear bumpers for the Traxxas Slash are available in three popular color options – black, blue and chrome. RPM rear bumpers are sold with all necessary mounting hardware and complete mounting instructions.

Tech Notes: This bumper will not fit the Traxxas Nitro Slash 2wd nor will it fit the Slash 4×4. RPM highly recommends the use of an RPM rear bumper mount (#80902 or #80905) for full rear-end crash and bash-proof protection.

RPM Mud Flap System for Slash 2WD & Slash 4×4 Quick Notes: For use with RPM Slash 2WD and Slash 4×4 Rear Bumpers only The Traxxas Slash is arguably one of the best and most authentic replicas of a modern Short Course Truck. Unfortunately, it lacks in a critical detail that many other manufacturers have incorporated into their trucks – mud flaps! That is no longer an issue! RPM now has a mud flap system that integrates with our Rear Bumper for the Traxxas Slash 2wd (RPM #81002, #81003 & #81005) and Slash 4×4 (RPM #80122, #80123 & #80125). The RPM Mud Flap System uses a pair of molded nylon support arms that bolt to pre-existing holes in the RPM bumper supports of our Slash rear bumpers. These support arms hold a set of well-designed rubber mud flaps that incorporate the molded RPM Logo on one side and are blank on the other. One final touch is a pair of molded screw supports that help prevent the screws from pulling through the soft rubber of the mud flaps. Tech Notes: The RPM Mud Flap System is designed to work with RPM Rear Bumpers for the Traxxas Slash 2wd (RPM #81002, #81003 & #81005) & Slash 4×4 only (RPM #80122, #80123 & #80125). They will not work with stock or other aftermarket rear bumpers.

Those same problems were encountered on e-Rustler, e-Stampede & Bandit vehicles as well, using the stock wheelie bar mount. Fits: Traxxas Slash 2WD with LCG chassis only. Color: Black This is a high quality, hand made, dust and water splash proof shroud, designated to fit a particular model. Shroud comes with a zipper, which allows to access the internals of a model i.e. connecting/disconnecting  batteries and turning a model on/off without removing a shroud. While taking a break between the running  stints the shroud can be unzipped to allow ESC and motor to cool quicker.  Shroud is made from the highest quality materials. That is why it is strong, durable and efficient. The open  area of a material is more than 50% of total shroud surface, so it ensures a very good airflow in order to  keep the model electronics cool. Our ultimate goals were to create a front skid plate that simplified maintenance, improve durability and improve the appearance of the truck. these skid plates far exceeded those goals! The RPM front skid plate features a new bell crank mounting system that eliminates the need to remove the bell crank every time the front skid plate is removed. We accomplished this goal by using a pair of posts that press into the chassis of the truck and another pair of posts molded into the skid plate. This sandwiches the bell crank between the skid plate and chassis and supports both the upper and lower portions of the bell crank, reducing steering slop and giving a more precise feel to the steering system. This system simplifies maintenance and eliminates the annoying problem of the bell crank screws popping out of the chassis support holes after an impact to the front end. Our front skid plate also uses a triangulated chassis mounting system that uses a support post in the center of the skid plate to bolt up to a pre-existing hole in the stock Traxxas chassis. This third hole not only adds some serious strength and durability, it adds some much needed structural support to the bell cranks. As a final touch, we recessed the screw heads of the front two flat head mounting screws deeper than the stock skid plates to help reduce damage to the screw heads. RPM front skid plates for the Traxxas Slash are sold in three color options just like the rear – black, blue and gray color which is designed to blend in with the stock Traxxas gray colors of the chassis, bulkheads & transmission. We made it a two-piece design to give the Slash 2wd owner the option of full front-end bash-proof and crash-proof protection with both the skid plate and bumper installed or if a racing profile is wanted, the front bumper can be removed and the skid plate by itself can be run as a light-weight alternative bumper / skid plate that shreds 27 grams (almost a full ounce) of weight from the front end of the truck. Once the race is over, reinstall the bumper and full bash protection is once again available! Our Traxxas Slash front bumper design completely eliminates the stock chassis-to-bumper support ring and the 5 screws holding the support ring in place. Additionally, the RPM version uses a thicker skid design (more than 60% thicker than the stock skid!) to supply the cushioning resistance a basher-proof bumper needs. Even though our thicker, more stout front bumper and skid plate is significantly stronger and more beefy than stock, it still falls in at a weight that is slightly less than the stock front bumper*. So even if the racer wants to run a full RPM front bumper and skid plate, they won’t have to worry about adding unwanted weight. To help improve overall durability, our skid rail design is wider than stock, which perfectly matches the design of our front and rear Slash skid plates. The RPM front bumper and skid plate for the Traxxas Slash is available in four color options: black on black, blue on blue, pink on pink or a chrome bumper on a gray skid plate. We’re so confident in the strength and durability of these new bumpers that they too come with our unbeatable factory warranty protection. *Our weight comparison is based on the weight of the stock Traxxas bumper along with the weight of the support ring and hardware (all of which is permanently removed once the RPM bumper / skid plate is installed). RPM Mount for Rear Bumper or Wheelie Bar for 2WD Slash, Rustler, Stampede & Bandit - Blue Replaces Traxxas stock #3677 Quick Notes: Fits Traxxas 2WD Slash, Rustler, Stampede & Bandit Replaces Traxxas stock #3677 After hearing numerous requests to look into the rear bumper mount on the Traxxas Slash, we found several issues that could use the RPM touch. Those same problems were encountered on e-Rustler, e-Stampede & Bandit vehicles as well, using the stock wheelie bar mount. The problem – the stock mount uses only a single screw on the gear cover side to hold the mount in place. That causes a hinge effect under rear impacts causing the slotted area holding on to the rear skid plate to pop off after an impact, leaving the stock bumper / wheelie bar mount hanging under the chassis. The RPM solution… An all-new bumper mounting system that eliminates all of the problems encountered with the stock version. The RPM rear bumper / wheelie bar mount has two mounting holes on the gear cover side and three on the motor side – that’s two additional mounting points to eliminate that annoying hinge effect mentioned above. The additional mounting screws help disperse impact energy into the transmission case over more surface area, reducing the possibility of damaging the case significantly! The new RPM mount design means no more slotted parts hanging below the rear skid plate – ever! Our mount tucks up quite nicely behind the skid plate for better rear end ground clearance. Our rear bumper / wheelie bar mount fits a wide range of vehicles too. It fits all versions of the Traxxas Slash 2wd, electric Stampede, electric Rustler and Bandit including VXL, XL-5 and legacy versions. The RPM rear bumper / wheelie bar mount is molded in our nearly indestructible blend of nylons and is sold in either blue or black. Each mount comes with all necessary hardware, complete instructions for ease of installation and an industry-leading warranty to back it all up!
