The Flagship of the Japanese forces.　 The Japanese battleship Yamato was laid down in November 1937 and commissioned in December 1941, giving notice to the world of the level of Japanese ship-building technology. A truly massive ship, it had a waterline length of 256m, a beam of 38.9m, a displacement of around 70,000 tons and nine 46cm guns which had a maximum range of 41km and were capable of piercing 43cm of armor from 30km away. Her armor, meanwhile, weighed in at an staggering 21,000 tons. The hull of the ship had been kept as short as was possible, with defensive considerations meaning the bridge, gun turrets and mechanical sections concentrated in the center of the vessel. Beneath the waterline, she employed a bulbous bow that protruded 3 meters and contributed to increased wavemaking resistance. Her vil du trenge lim til plastbyggesett, maling og pensel i tillegg.   Product Info First flying in 1939, the Focke-Wulf FW190 was an immediate threat to RAF fighters when introduced in late 1941, being faster and more manoeuvrable than the Spitfire V then in service.  The F-8 was the ground-attack version and differed primarily in its lack of outboard cannons. Various combinations of underwing weapons were fitted, but the most common was one centreline bomb and four small bombs on the wings.  The A-8 version was the most numerous, heavily armed variant and entered service in 1944 in an attempt to stop Allied daylight raids. By then, however, the new Allied fighters had begun to outclass it.

De Havilland Chipmunk T.10 1:48 With the de Havilland designed Tiger Moth biplane proving to be such an important pilot training aircraft during the Second World War, it is no wonder that the same company would have a say in producing its replacement, when both the RCAF and Royal Air Force were looking to upgrade their primary pilot training capabilities. In order to keep pace with wartime aircraft production and to allow increasing numbers of Canadian airmen to be trained, de Havilland established an overseas subsidiary in Canada, the de Havilland Aircraft Company of Canada.                                                                                                                                      Following the end of WWII, the company began design work on a new aircraft, one intended as a replacement for the ageing Tiger Moths still in RCAF service. A tandem two seat monoplane, the new trainer incorporated many advances over its predecessor, but shared many of its design philosophies, in that it was intended to be both simple to maintain and relatively forgiving to fly - these aircraft needed to be in the air, earning their keep.Having the distinction of being the first aircraft type designed and built by de Havilland Canada, the first Chipmunk took to the skies in May 1946 and almost immediately gained interest from the military.                                                                                                                                            By April 1948, the Royal Canadian Air Force had taken delivery of their first Chipmunk, but they were not the only ones admiring the qualities of this extremely capable aeroplane. The vast majority of the 1,283 de Havilland Chipmunks built would be manufactured under licence in the UK, in factories at Hatfield and Chester, with around 735 of these going on to see service with the Royal Air Force, again as the direct replacement for the venerable old Tiger Moth. In RAF service, the British built machines were known as the de Havilland Chipmunk Mk.10 and they would go on to provide basic flight training support many thousands of future military aviators, in addition to providing air experience opportunities for many more as part of the University Air Squadron organisation.                                                                                                                                              Despite being a Canadian design, the Chipmunk has become one of the most recognisable Royal Air Force aircraft of the post war era and has enjoyed a military career which began in the early 1950s and continues to this day. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight still operate two Chipmunks regularly, providing currency training for aircrew assigned to fly the unit's historic 'taildraggers' and also to allow crews to reconnoitre new display venues in advance of their show appearance. In other situations, the aircraft can be used to deliver replacement aircrew or spare parts, whilst the Flight's Spitfires and Hurricanes are out on display duties during the Airshow season. These two Chipmunks have ensured that the aircraft must now be regarded as one of the longest serving types in Royal Air Force History.                                                                                                                                               With such an impressive military pedigree as this, it is also interesting to note that the Chipmunk has gone on to become one of the most popular aircraft types on the civilian aviation scheme and it is estimated that well over 300 aircraft are still in airworthy condition worldwide. Sometimes unfairly described as 'The poor man's Spitfire', the Chipmunk surely now has to be regarded as a historic aircraft in its own right and one which continues to underline the effectiveness of its design. With aircraft formerly serving with the RAF, Army Air Corps, Royal Navy and the mount of several RAF display teams, there is no shortage of attractive schemes available for you to present your Chipmunk in if you are lucky enough to own one, not to mention the fact that the aircraft would also be operated by several overseas air forces all over the world.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               As a training aeroplane, it is obvious that more people would have experience with the de Havilland Chipmunk as opposed to the more glamourous front line aircraft types which are so popular with enthusiasts, however, the opportunity to still fly in one of these historic aeroplanes ensures that it continues to be held in great affection by owners and enthusiasts alike. Importantly, the Chipmunk is still fulfilling the role for which it was originally designed when making its first flight 74 years ago, providing basic flying training and allowing people to experience the thrill of flying for the first time.

Tamiya 1/35 German III assault gun type B After debuting to great acclaim in our 1/48 MM Series, the popular Sturmgeschtz III (StuG III) Ausf. B now makes its way to the 1/35 MM Series. With its short barreled cannon and squat, formidable hull shape, the 1/35 StuG III promises to offer boxful of modeling satisfaction. Germanys versatile Stug III was originally designed as an assault weapon, however also came to be used as a weapon of defense as the war progressed, providing both assault gun and anti-tank support. Based on the durable Panzer III chassis, the Stug III featured a monoblock structure with an L24 75mm short barreled gun mounted directly to the hull, eliminating the revolving turret and reducing overall height. The Ausf. B was the first truly mass produced Stug III with 250 produced from June 1940. Featuring wide tracks and powered by a 230hp Maybach HL 120 TRM engine the Ausf. B boasted a top speed of 40km/h. The Ausf. B saw action during the Balkans campaign in April 1941 and Operation Barbarossa in June, 1941. The simple construction leading to low costs and easy mass production made the Stug III one of Germanys most produced armored vehicles with over 10,000 produced during WWII. Accurate 1/35 scale model of the German Sturmgeschtz III Ausf. B assault gun. Cannon can be raised and lowered after assembly Includes fully detailed accessories to mount onto fender for full accuracy. Precision detailing right down to the loading device and wireless radio inside compartment. Comes with aluminum gun barrel and photo-etched mesh cover for engine air intake. Employs swing-arm type suspension. Includes 3 sets of markings and 1 commander figure. Etching parts are used for the air intake and headlight cover at the rear of the car body to tighten the flat structure. Equipment such as front hooks and horns are also sharply finished. This is a 1/350 Plastic Enterprise US Aircraft Carrier CVN-65 from Tamiya.  For ages 10 and over. The United States Navy Aircraft Carrier CVN-65 Enterprise, also known as  the "Big E", is the worlds largest ship and the first nuclear powered aircraft  carrier. Webster defines the word Enterprise as meaning "Undertaking, Project,  A business organization, Initiative, etc.," and the CVN-65 fits all of these  definitions perfectly. About the 1966 Volkswagen 1300 Beetle Even in this age of sophistication, the popularity of the Volkswagen “Beetle” has not diminished. The original design dates back to the 1930’s when Dr. Ferdinand Porsche provided the design framework for the “People’s Car.” Today, with more than 20 million units produced, the Volkswagen Beetle has become a symbol of mass-produced motorization, with no other vehicle exceeding this figure. Built upon the sturdy platform chassis is the amazingly reliable air cooled, flat-four cylinder engine. Suspension is four wheel independent for crisp handling and driving comfort. Although the onset of the Second World War greatly hindered Volkswagen’s marketing opportunities, it made a superb comeback shortly following the conflict, under the skillful guidance of Heinrich Nordhoff. Throughout its production life, the Volkswagen was continuously improved to meet modern automobile standards. An enlarged powerplant displacement and better visibility are two of the notable changes that enabled the Beetle to set standards for the compact car market, decade after decade. Tamiya 24231 -  1/24 Subaru Impreza WRX STi There is no better way to test the toughness of an automobile than by entering it in the World Rally Championships (WRC). Rally cars are engineered to race over paved, dirt and snow/ice covered roads at breakneck speeds and in all kinds of weather. Success in these races virtually guarantees sparking consumer interest in purchasing the production car. Subaru understood this when they first entered the WRC back in 1990. Their first contender, the Legacy was succeeded by the more compact Impreza, which was imbued with two years of tested technology. This sports sedan generated intense popularity among consumers looking for a street car with the guts of a WRC contender. In August 2000, a second generation of the Impreza was born. One of the specially tuned versions of this car was the Impreza WRX STi (Subaru Tecnica International). Its 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine adopts a reinforced cylinder block, molybdenum coated steel pistons, high capacity turbo and intercooler. The power of the STi version was boosted to 280hp with a 38kgm maximum torque. This power is efficiently transmitted to the four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission, also developed by STi. The suspension adopts rally-proven 4-wheel struts, ensuring a smooth ride over all kinds of road conditions. Blister style over-fenders on the powerful four-door body and an enlarged air intake on the hood give the Impreza WRX STi, as its name suggests, a truly impressive appearance. About the model Scale 1/24, total length 184 mm, total width 73 mm. Realistic model of powerful form with blister type fender. Wheels and brake caliper parts are painted in gold. Winker is clear orange, The rear lens is a clear red part. The interior and the underside of the chassis are also finished with a three-dimensional effect. The headlight part and muffler end are plated parts. In addition, the metal inlet mark is used for the emblem and shift gate trim to enhance the texture. The emblem pursues texture with a metal inlet. The power of a large-diameter muffler and glamorous blister fender is fully reproduced. Most of the parts on the back of the chassis are integrated. Tamiya viser stolt frem oppdaterte nyutgivelser av sine to Mini Cooper 1275S Mk.I-byggesett i skala 1/24 velkommen med oppdaterte dekaler, bruksanvisning og emballasje. Den legendariske Minien oppnådde en flott andreplass i den prestisjetunge «Car of the Century»-prisen som ble annonsert i 1999. Den originale Minien ble produsert fra 1959 til 2000 uten større modellendringer, og var en forløper for dagens store utvalg av kompaktbiler med frontmotor og forhjulsdrift. Selv om den bare var 3 meter lang, var 10-tommers hjulene plassert i hjørnene og ga en kupé som var romslig nok til å romme fire voksne.
