The Tamiya 16039 kit recreates the 1975 Harley-Davidson FXE1200 Super Glide in 1/6 scale, reflecting the original machine that helped popularise factory choppers. The model emulates the classic shovel head look and the air-cooled V-twin layout with careful attention to proportion.
This assembly kit reproduces the V-twin engine, frame and ancillary components with fine detail. Functional front and rear suspension incorporate coil springs for realistic movement, while wire-spoke wheels and plated trims add period correctness. Semi-pneumatic rubber tyres mimic the original tread pattern.
Transparent parts are provided for the instrument cluster and a decal sheet supplies authentic markings. The side stand is operational and fitted with a return spring so the model sits naturally when displayed. It is a strong choice for collectors seeking mechanical fidelity.
