Fits: Traxxas Slash 4x4 with LCG chassis and 1/10 Rally only. Scale: 1/10 Color: Black This is a high quality, hand made, dust and water splash proof shroud, designated to fit a particular model. Shroud comes with a zipper, which allows to access the internals of a model i.e. connecting/disconnecting  batteries and turning a model on/off without removing a shroud. While taking a break between the running  stints the shroud can be unzipped to allow ESC and motor to cool quicker.  Shroud is made from the highest quality materials. That is why it is strong, durable and efficient. The open  area of a material is more than 50% of total shroud surface, so it ensures a very good airflow in order to  keep the model electronics cool. Shock absorber cover is included into the package. Shock absorber cover comes in one long piece, so it could be cut into lengths that particular shock absorbers require. Cover is made from elastic material in order to fit shock absorbers of different diameters. We were shocked to discover that the primary speed controller shipped with most Traxxas VXL brushless systems has two tiny mounting tabs holding it in place. After some quick research, we found these tabs break off quite often, leading to potential damage of a $220 (SRP) speed control. Our solution is a simple, yet strong and effective one. We eliminated the use of the two undersized mounting tabs on the ESC in favor of a complete cage system that solidly locks it in place. Our ESC Cage is the most effective, durable and best protection for your speed control possible. By completely surrounding and capturing the VXL-3S ESC, damage from broken tabs and ejection from the vehicle has been completely eliminated. The RPM VXL-3S ESC Cage works perfectly even if one or both mounting tabs have already been broken or cut off! Now there is no reason to rely on unpredictable adhesives or zip ties to protect and retain your speed controller when our ESC Cage will lock it in place with 100% confidence each and every time! Tech Notes: RPM VXL-3S ESC Cages are designed for the Traxxas VXL-3S ESC (Traxxas #3355X) only. Description Are you tired of losing those pesky body clips? One flip and you’re almost guaranteed to lose at least one! Are you irritated that those ugly body posts sticking up through your body ruin its scale looks? The RPM “No Clip” Body Mount is the solution you’re looking for. We completely eliminate the through-the-body posts that destroy the scale looks of your Slash. We do this via an ingenious body mount system that uses a scale, mock radiator out back and four unobtrusive screws out front that hide an under-body frame. What’s visible on the outside is an ultra-cool, scale radiator (based off of a full-sized desert truck radiator), complete with mock fan blades and fan shrouds (also based off of their full-sized counterpart). The fan shrouds are the key to this clever mounting system because the fan shrouds are the locking mechanisms that lock the body in place! Simply slip the front under-body frame into the adjustable catch up front, then drop the hidden locks below the radiator out back into the lock plate and rotate the fan shrouds until they lock in place. Simple, inventive, RPM strong and extremely scale! Our “No Clip” Body Mounts incorporate vertical adjustability where neither the 2wd nor the 4×4 had before! Now you can drop the body an extra 3/16” (4.8mm) or raise it up to 3/8” (9.5mm) higher than stock. If you’re tired of your tires rubbing off that time-consuming / expensive paint job in the wheel wells or if you’ve dropped your ride for more street performance, our mounts will let you alter that body position effortlessly. Each RPM “No Clip” Body Mount system comes with everything needed to bolt up to your favorite ride. Made right here in the USA and molded from our trademark blend of engineering grade nylons for strength and durability you can trust. Tech Notes: RPM “No Clip” Body Mounts will not work with the Traxxas On Board Audio System (OBA). RPM Body Mounts are designed for use with most stock Traxxas Short Course Bodies, although they will not work with Ford Raptor bodies (#5815, #5815A, #5815R, #5815X, #5826, #5826A, #5826R & #5826X), Rob MacCachren Dodge body (#6833) or the Dakar body (#58044, #5818, #5818A or #5820A). Each ESC Cage is designed to simplify ESC installation and maintenance of the vehicle. Two screws hold the entire assembly to the chassis, that’s it! No more struggling with gooey double-sided tape to remove the ESC to clean your vehicle or transfer the electronics to another car. It’s so quick, you can transfer the entire assembly from one vehicle to the next in about a minute! We include a separate, encased on / off switch mount that bolts directly to our cage in one of four locations / orientations for extreme versatility. Since the switch attaches to the cage, no extra time is needed to remove it during maintenance or if you decide to swap the ESC between vehicles. Alternately, you can mount the switch anywhere you’d like simply by drilling and tapping two 2mm holes. Each RPM ESC Cage is manufactured from our ridiculously tough blend of engineering grade nylons for a lifetime of worry-free performance. Sadly, that was not the case. Since then, we’ve been working hard to make all of those RPM parts 2wd owners love, fit on the Slash 4×4 version. Our three-piece front bumper / skid plate design for the Traxxas 4×4 is simple, yet strong, effective and highly attractive. We made it a three-piece design to give the Slash owner the option of full front-end bash-proof and crash-proof protection with the skid plate mount, skid plate and bumper installed or if they’re racing, they can remove the bumper and use the skid plate mount and skid plate as a light-weight alternative bumper / skid plate that sheds 27 grams (almost a full ounce) of weight from the front end of the truck. Once the race is over, simply reinstall the bumper and full bash protection is once again available! Our Traxxas Slash 4×4 front bumper design eliminates the bumper support ring and the 4 screws behind the stock bumper while using a thicker skid design to supply the cushioning resistance a basher-proof bumper needs. By eliminating the stock bumper support ring, absolutely no frontal impact crash energy is transferred into the upper half of the differential housing. We supply longer bumper mounting screws as well, so any impact energy from down low has less of a tendency to pull the mounting screws out from the bottom half of the differential housing. With an RPM impact-absorbing front bumper installed, the energy transferred from frontal impacts will be greatly reduced as well. RPM front bumpers for the Traxxas Slash 4×4 are available in three color options: black on black, blue on blue or a chrome bumper on a gray skid plate. Our new rear bumper is modeled after full-sized short course and desert racing trucks for authentic scale realism, utilizing the same great looking rear bumper as that found on the 2wd version of the RPM rear bumper and making the most of an all-new bumper mount design specifically for the 4×4. This new mounting system has the perfect blend of rigidity and flexibility to absorb those nasty rear collisions without transferring huge amounts of impact energy into the more fragile components of the chassis. Additionally, with its twin hinge point mounting system, rear A-arm maintenance is a snap. Simply remove the two bottom-mounted flathead screws and the bumper swivels out of the way for easy access to the rear A-arms! It even allows the rear sway bar to stay in place! We incorporated a thicker skid plate design that does a fantastic job of protecting the rear end and lower mounting screws from harsh conditions such as gravel and asphalt impacts. The RPM lower mount / skid plate is over 35% thicker than the stock version! What more could we do to make these things incredibly realistic? How about mounting points for mud flaps and RPM tail light kits already widely available? That’s right; these bumpers come stock with mounting positions for RPM mud flaps (RPM #81012 available separately) and RPM Tail Light Kits (RPM #81030 also available separately). If you haven’t seen a Slash with a full set of LED’s running at night, you’re missing out!
