This is a high quality, hand made, dust and water splash proof shroud, designated to fit a particular model. Shroud comes with a zipper, which allows to access the internals of a model i.e. connecting/disconnecting  batteries and turning a model on/off without removing a shroud. While taking a break between the running  stints the shroud can be unzipped to allow ESC and motor to cool quicker.  Shroud is made from the highest quality materials. That is why it is strong, durable and efficient. The open  area of a material is more than 50% of total shroud surface, so it ensures a very good airflow in order to  keep the model electronics cool.


Shock absorber cover is included into the package. Shock absorber cover comes in one long piece, so it could be cut into lengths that particular shock absorbers require. Cover is made from elastic material in order to fit shock absorbers of different diameters. One included length of a cover will be enough for 4-8 shock absorbers, depending on a length of one.

Make sure that the surface of the chassis is extremely dry and clean before applying the VELCRO® tape. Dip a napkin in pure alcohol and clean the surface of the chassis. (Use vodka if you like, but for best results, do not drink the vodka during the process). Let the VELCRO® tape adhere to the chassis for 24 hours before you use the shroud. If it?s hot outside, leave the Dusty Motors? shroud unzipped to promote airflow and help keep the electronics cool. Even when bashing with a unzipped shroud, it will still keep out most of the dust and debris. When it?s hot outside ? or if you have a car gearing set up that?s capable of reaching the speed of light ? be smart when you bash. Don?t let the temperature of the electronics get too hot. Take breaks between rides. Unzip the shroud and let the model cool to a normal temperature. When bashing in winter, don?t bring your model into a warm room without removing ice and snow from the shroud. Otherwise, the snow will melt and water may penetrate the shroud and get into your model electronics. Do not drive under water. It is a CAR, not a submarine, and the Dusty Motors shroud is only made for cars. Our shrouds are good, but they can?t be breathable and 100 percent waterproof at the same time. Physics just doesn?t work that way. The splashes of water are OK, so don?t be concerned if the shroud gets a bit damp. Remember to take care of the shroud. Wash it by hand with warm, clean water. Let it air dry, do not put it in a dryer.

Our ultimate goals were to create a front skid plate that simplified maintenance, improve durability and improve the appearance of the truck. these skid plates far exceeded those goals! The RPM front skid plate features a new bell crank mounting system that eliminates the need to remove the bell crank every time the front skid plate is removed. We accomplished this goal by using a pair of posts that press into the chassis of the truck and another pair of posts molded into the skid plate. This sandwiches the bell crank between the skid plate and chassis and supports both the upper and lower portions of the bell crank, reducing steering slop and giving a more precise feel to the steering system. This system simplifies maintenance and eliminates the annoying problem of the bell crank screws popping out of the chassis support holes after an impact to the front end. Our front skid plate also uses a triangulated chassis mounting system that uses a support post in the center of the skid plate to bolt up to a pre-existing hole in the stock Traxxas chassis. This third hole not only adds some serious strength and durability, it adds some much needed structural support to the bell cranks. As a final touch, we recessed the screw heads of the front two flat head mounting screws deeper than the stock skid plates to help reduce damage to the screw heads. RPM front skid plates for the Traxxas Slash are sold in three color options just like the rear – black, blue and gray color which is designed to blend in with the stock Traxxas gray colors of the chassis, bulkheads & transmission. When a stock rear skid plate fails, it can rip the rear shock tower mounting screws out of the chassis, causing a catastrophic failure usually resulting in the rear end sailing in a different direction than the rest of the truck. With RPM skid plates mounted, that problem will be a thing of the past! RPM rear Slash skid plates are completely redesigned, making them stronger and much more durable. Our unique design use three chassis mounting points instead of two, triangulating the chassis mounts on the truck, in turn spreading impact energy over a larger area. This is done using a hole already located in the stock chassis, meaning no drilling is required. We also eliminated the cross-tube styling of the stock skid plates in favor of a solid flat skid design with a large radius at the transition points to allow the truck to slide over obstacles that would have normally caught on the stock rear skid plate. That means no more direct impacts to the lower rear end of the truck, which is the primary source of a broken chassis. As a final design touch, we added four thick skid rails on both the front and rear skid plates which reduce sliding friction while improving the overall durability of the skid plates and the truck. At the tail end of the rear skid plate, a skid rail runs from side to side to protect the lower transmission screw and rear bumper mount while providing a smooth transitional surface. RPM skid plates for the Traxxas Slash are sold in three color options – black, blue and our all new gray color which is designed to blend in with the stock Traxxas gray colors of the chassis, bulkheads & transmission. Tech Notes: Stock rear bumper mounts (Traxxas #3677) will not work with RPM skid plates. The case halves engage precisely to seal out dirt and debris, and create a rigid structure to support the motor, suspension arms, and optional wheelie bar. The thick T-6 aluminum motor plate resists flex and acts as a heatsink. All-Metal Internal Gears This race-ready transmission is built for massive torque with high-strength steel input, idler, and differential gears and large-diameter bearings. The input gear is keyed and press fit onto the top shaft for greater precision and strength than a pin-mounted gear.       Sealed Beveled-Gear Differential The heavy-duty steel-gear differential is X-ring and gasket-sealed and filled with grease for all-around performance. It's easy to tune the differential's locking action by adding different viscosity silicone oil to suit surface traction.   Removable Differential The Magnum 272R's easily removable differential makes maintenance and tuning easier than ever.
