Det kan kanskje virke som mye å tenke på, men vær nøye fra starten, så bygger du deg opp gode rutiner, og etterhvert gjør du det automatisk. Godt vedlikehold gir båten lengre levetid!   Bruk båten kun i ferskvann Alle RC-båter er beregnet for bruk i ferskvann, og skal derfor ikke brukes i saltvann. Det er flere årsaker til at saltvann er skadelig for din båt. - Ødelegger elektronikken Saltvann er mer strømledende enn ferskvann. Kommer det fukt inn i elektronikken, elektromotorer eller regulator kan dette kortslutte. Sjansen er mye større for at dette blir permanent ødelagt om fukten skyldes saltvann, og ikke ferskvann. - Tetter kjølesystemet Saltvann blir liggende igjen i slangene og vil danne saltkorn når vannet tørker opp. Disse kornene kan gjøre filtre og ledningene tette, eller redusere gjennomstrømning. Dette kan over tid føre til regulator- eller motorhavari. - Irr, rust, korrosjon Metaller trives dårlig med saltvann. Saltvann sammen med fukt fører fort til irr, rust og korrosjon på metalldelene i båtmodellen din.   Tetting og lufting Også ferskvann kan være skadelig, spesielt for elektronikken. Vi anbefaler derfor at man benytter tape for å tette lokk og åpninger i båten. Dette hindrer vann i å trenge inn under kjøring, og det hindrer båten i å synke hvis den går rundt. Husk å åpne og lufte godt etter bruk. Noe fukt trenger alltid inn, og denne bør tørkes bort fortest mulig i varme, tørre omgivelser.   Etterstramming Motor og bølger skaper små vibrasjoner som kan få skruer til å skru seg ut på egenhånd. Ved bruk første gang anbefaler vi å benytte gjengelås(locktite/threadlock) og etterstramme alle skruer. Vi anbefaler også å etterstramme etter kjøring.   Smøring Smøring er viktig og bør utføres jevnlig. Vær spesielt nøye med smøring av fleksaksel. Blir denne for trå vil det skape unødvendig motstand og motor/regulator kan ødelegges grunnet overbelastning.

Radiostyrt båt - Viktig informasjon

For at du skal få mest mulig glede av din radiostyrte båt over tid er det viktig at du følger følgende råd. Det kan kanskje virke som mye å tenke på, men vær nøye fra starten, så bygger du deg opp gode rutiner, og etterhvert gjør du det automatisk. Godt vedlikehold gir båten lengre levetid!

Bruk båten kun i ferskvann.
Alle RC-båter er beregnet for bruk i ferskvann, og skal derfor ikke brukes i saltvann. Det er flere årsaker til at saltvann er skadelig for din båt.

- Ødelegger elektronikken
Saltvann er mer strømledende enn ferskvann. Kommer det fukt inn i elektronikken, elektromotorer eller regulator kan dette kortslutte. Sjansen er mye større for at dette blir permanent ødelagt om fukten skyldes saltvann, og ikke ferskvann.

- Tetter kjølesystemet
Saltvann blir liggende igjen i slangene og vil danne saltkorn når vannet tørker opp. Disse kornene kan gjøre filtre og ledningene tette, eller redusere gjennomstrømning. Dette kan over tid føre til regulator- eller motorhavari.

- Irr, rust, korrosjon
Metaller trives dårlig med saltvann. Saltvann sammen med fukt fører fort til irr, rust og korrosjon på metalldelene i båtmodellen din.

Tetting og lufting

Også ferskvann kan være skadelig, spesielt for elektronikken. Vi anbefaler derfor at man benytter tape for å tette lokk og åpninger i båten. Dette hindrer vann i å trenge inn under kjøring, og det hindrer båten i å synke hvis den går rundt. Husk å åpne og lufte godt etter bruk. Noe fukt trenger alltid inn, og denne bør tørkes bort fortest mulig i varme, tørre omgivelser.

Etterstramming

Motor og bølger skaper små vibrasjoner som kan få skruer til å skru seg ut på egenhånd. Ved bruk første gang anbefaler vi å benytte gjengelås(locktite/threadlock) og etterstramme alle skruer. Vi anbefaler også å etterstramme etter kjøring.

Smøring

Smøring er viktig og bør utføres jevnlig. Vær spesielt nøye med smøring av fleksaksel. Blir denne for trå(treg) vil det skape unødvendig motstand og motor/regulator kan ødelegges grunnet overbelastning.
